Meet the Team
At Millie’s Place, our leadership is grounded in a shared belief that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Our co-founders came together as passionate parents and educators with a vision for what school can be—a place where inclusion is the norm, learning is personal, and every child is empowered to thrive.

CO FOUNDER
With 15 years of experience in Dallas ISD, Amy Rich has served as a 5th-grade reading, math, and science teacher, talented and gifted educator, instructional coach, and assistant principal. In 2013, she and her team secured a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, leading the design and implementation of personalized learning at the now top-rated elementary school in Dallas. Her work has focused on refining instructional models and developing staff capacity to embrace personalized learning, project-based learning, authentic learning experiences, and social-emotional development.
Amy Rich holds a degree in education from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in educational leadership from Texas A&M Commerce. Her mission is to build a community where every child is empowered to reach their fullest potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.
As the co-founder of Millie’s Place, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, she is dedicated to creating inclusive, personalized learning environments where every child—regardless of ability—can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Inspired by her own children, including her daughter with Down syndrome and neurotypical son, both of whom currently attend an inclusive preschool, she has witnessed firsthand the power of a supportive, equitable education.
